Volunteering with a group is a great way to build teamwork with co-workers or have a fun day with family and friends. The Doorways is a place where families and patients can lean on each other for the emotional support needed in a time of crisis. Volunteers play a vital role in this support. Group of volunteers who give their time are to be commended for their concern for the welfare of those in need. It is truly a gift to families dealing with medical crisis.
The Doorways is operated with the support of a large corps of dedicated volunteers; this includes individuals as well as groups! They come from numerous religious, civic, corporate and educational groups. Everyone joins together to make meals for the guests, wash windows, perform light maintenance, paint and decorate renovated rooms. They initiate the collection of pantry items, paper products, furniture and other household needs.
We treasure our volunteers, for their time, their talents and their unflagging commitment to our mission.
We could not do what we do without them.
