We are endlessly in awe of the support we receive from individuals and groups alike who believe in lending a helping hand. Committed companies like CoStar Group invest their time in the service of those in need. They, like all of our volunteers, are committed to making the world a better place. Guest Gazette
While our staff were making dinner for guests recently, one of our guests approached us to ask when he could make dinner for the other guests himself. After being amazed at his generous offer and explaining that the only open dinner night that week was the next day, Mike took us back even more by saying he had already purchased all the supplies and was ready to serve! As a retired chef, he wanted to use his skillset to support to fellow guests in need of some comfort food. Of course, Mike's talents were met with rave reviews!
What's equally amazing is that Mike isn't the only guest who goes above and beyond to serve others while staying with us. From driving each other on errands to playing board games together, or simply checking in on one another through group chats - our guests create a network of support and community within our doors.

Donations come in many forms at The Doorways!
With 117 rooms serving approximately 150 guests per night, we go through a lot of linens every day! That's why we are exceptionally grateful to partners like Mid-Atlantic Laundry Systems for providing us with the means to keep a clean and sanitary environment for guests receiving medical treatments. After recently purchasing two washers from them and seeing our need firsthand, Mid-Atlantic Laundry Systems generously donated a dryer to help meet our capacity.
Having the backing of our partners who support our guests in unique ways means that our team can work more efficiently and provide the highest quality service to our guests. Thank you to Mid-Atlantic Laundry Systems for believing in our mission!
