My first job: Picking up hay and straw on a dairy farm…still ranks among my most formative experiences.

Something most people don’t know about me: I play guitar and sing, but only if you like country/gospel/folk/bluegrass music! Nothing against Rock & Roll…I just can’t play it.

Some of my hobbies include: Cycling (mountain and road), baking, gardening, building renovation, model building, traveling, working in my shop, preparing and eating delicious smoked meat and watching old movies

My favorite spot around town is: Cul’s Courthouse Grill (Charles City)…fried catfish sandwich with a special-request addition of pimento cheese…it’s a beautiful thing.

My favorite line of our mantra is: “And when there’s nothing more we can do, we’ll do more. Give More. Love more.”

My favorite season is: Autumn. The smell of fallen, decomposing leaves and a cold, stirring wind is the simplest, deepest exhilaration…and it is still free and legal, although not necessarily available, in all fifty states!
