Young Professionals on a Mission

Our Young Professionals Council (YPC) is a dynamic group of 20- and 30-somethings united by a desire to spread awareness of The Doorways throughout the Richmond community.

Each member serves as an ambassador for The Doorways, provides volunteer and community outreach support, and is an integral point of contact for The Doorways staff and Board of Directors.

YPC Member Activities

Member Meetings
Member meetings occur on the second Tuesday of every month. Meetings focus around providing updates on the YPC budget and member activities, including socials/fundraisers, membership, and service projects. Meetings also provide an opportunity for members to socialize and network.

Service Projects, Socials, & Fundraisers
Members plan and participate in regular events that benefits The Doorways’ mission and YPC. Service projects include providing meals to our guests, hosting collection drives, inviting others to give-back nights and a variety of other opportunities like decorating The Doorways for holidays! Socials and Fundraisers help raise awareness and bring in money and people to support The Doorways.
