Housekeeping Deep Clean Specialist

Reporting to the House Manager, the Housekeeping Deep Clean Specialist provides detailed, comprehensive care to guest rooms. This position will provide a service beyond that of a Housekeeper, by completing extensive cleaning in each room they service.

The ideal candidate for this position must have the ability to work independently and have dependable transportation. Prior housekeeping experience is required, ideally with a strong background in hotel or hospital housekeeping. Our facility is open 365 days a year, and therefore, availability on weekends and holidays is required.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Remove/replenish all bedding, including pillows, mattress pads, and bed skirts
  • Remove/replenish all terry
  • Remove/replenish shower curtain/liner
  • Vacuum entire room, including under the beds and edging
  • Remove any old/broken/wire hangers
  • Wipe out all drawers
  • Pull out all furniture from wall, and wipe down on all sides
  • Check for and report any maintenance issues
  • Shampoo carpet
  • Clean vents
  • High and low dusting
  • Clean inside and outside of refrigerator, and have freezer thawed if necessary
  • Wipe down walls, doors, and doorframes
  • Replace Guest Guide if necessary
  • Wipe down all pictures and mirrors, including edges
  • Wipe down window ledge inside and outside
  • Clean window, inside and outside
  • Wipe down entry door inside and outside
  • Wipe down lock on outside of door
  • Wipe down balcony outside of rooms
  • Perform other duties as required

Physical Requirements

  • Employee will be required to see, hear, and use of hands and fingers
  • Must be able to stand or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire shift
  • Position requires frequent bending, reaching overhead, and squatting
  • Must have the ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor and composure at all times
  • Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 50lbs.
  • Work is performed both indoors and outside in varying weather conditions
  • Exposure to a variety of chemicals and cleaning agents on a regular basis

Qualifications:

  • Prior Housekeeping experience required
  • Ability to understand written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to work independently, as well as within a team
  • Interact professionally with staff and guests
  • Familiarity with house guidelines
  • Highschool graduate or GED preferred
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Work Location: In person

Salary: Part-Time Hourly/ Non-Exempt: $14/hour. Primarily day shift and morning shift with ability to flex to meet the needs of the organization.
